Patient referred for immediate recurrence of ectropion treated with a pentagonal resection technique (Kuhnt Szymanowski).
This technique is still the most commonly used to correct ectropion or entropion of the eyelid. However, it is very often unsuitable for addressing the anatomical cause of the instability. In these cases, recurrence is inevitable and will be very difficult to correct. This video describes a very demonstrative example.
