Surgical correction of eyelid ptosis related to laxity of the levator aponeurosis
This is characterized by several clinical elements:
- preservation of near-normal levator muscle function (> 12 mm)
- elevation of the palpebral fold
- thinning of the eyelid
- increased eyelid excursion when looking downwards
Procedure performed by Doctor Richard Collin, who directed the oculoplastic surgery department at Moorfield Eye Hospital in London.
