Postoperative lymphatic oedema is a dreaded complication. It is particularly important to watch out for it in patients with preoperative lymphatic circulation disorders (malar sac appearance in the morning on waking) or in patients with thick skin with telangiectasias located at the upper palpebral price or along the lower orbital rim (festoons).
