Lower blepharoplasty (anterior approach) with redraping of orbital fat

Surgeon: Dr. Michel Tazartes / Paris

Live surgery during the "Oculoplastic Academy" congress in Nantes 2011

Aging of the midface is very frequently associated with an excess of orbital fat, producing bags, and a deficit of extra-orbital fat volume, producing a hollow along the lower orbital rim (dark circles), but also a hollow in the area between the cheekbone and the nose, as well as a flattening of the cheekbone. All of these hollows are accessible to the micro fat grafting technique (lipostructure). Dark circles can also be filled in by redraping the excess orbital fat in front of the bony rim. This procedure is filmed live in this video.
